Audi Wins the 24-Hour of Le Mans
by Aman ChaudhryNo CommentsThe 24 Hours of Le Mans just got over in France and Audi has bagged victory yet again for the ninth time after the Peugeot cars retired.
The 8.4-mile Circuit de la Sarthe saw the German manufacture Audi dominate the Le Mans once the entire Peugeot Sport factory team took leave leaving all three victory spots for Audi.
German driver Timo Bernhard claimed the first position while Benoit Treluyer from France followed him home in the R15 TDI leaving the third position for the Italian Dindo Capello who drove the No. 7 Audi towards victory.
Throughout the practice and the qualifying sessions and even considering the beginning of the final race, things seemed to be in favor of Peugeot. The situation tremendously changed when the three Peugeot 908 Hdi cars slowly started dropping out of the race due to engine problems.
Once the French team retired to the pitlane, the three Audi R15 Plus cars steadily made their way towards victory marking the ninth win for the Audi with the commencement of the 78th Le Mans at France.
